Biography

Mr. Marinaccio has extensive experience in the area of family law and has prosecuted and defended all types of contested issues relating to Family Law.  He has successfully tried to completion issues relating to the joint and sole custody of children; child abuse; restrictions on visitation and other visitation related issues; removal and defense against the removal of children from the State of Illinois; current and past due child support issues; child care and day care expense related issues; medical related issues for children and spouses; education issues for children and spouses; spousal support issues including initiating, limiting, modifying or otherwise terminating maintenance (alimony); extensive and complicated property issues including the identification of property; classifications of property as a marital or non-marital property; evaluation of property and the eventual distribution of property through successful competent negotiation or if necessary, through trial litigation.  In his more than 30 years of experience as a trial attorney, Lee has been recognized as one of the preeminent practitioners in the field of Family Law.

As Attorney Marinaccio is well versed in and familiar with trial litigation he is placed in the enviable position of being able to successfully negotiate a favorable settlement, or if the negotiated settlement fails back up his claim to competently present the issues to a Judge in a trial setting in order to obtain the best possible resolution for his client.

In Mr. Marinaccio's early career as an attorney he concentrated his practice in the area of criminal prosecution.  As an Assistant DuPage County State's Attorney, a Special Attorney with the United State's Department of Justice, an Assistant United State's Attorney, and the First Assistant State's Attorney in Kane County , Lee obtained extensive and valuable experience as a trial lawyer. 

Mr. Marinaccio contributes his success as a family law attorney to his patience and compassion for his clients and his ability to negotiate settlements or litigate complex issues.  Lee and his wife of 37 years, Katherine, have five children LeeAnne, Carla, Laura, Anna, and Anthony.
